Hello,

it seems that the screensharing client for Linux does not work if Python 3.4 is the default interpreter:

================ %< ===================
$ python --version
Python 3.4.3
$ ./spreedX
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "spreedx.py", line 1, in <module>
from spreedx.spreedx import main
File "/home/jse/opt/spreedX-4.0.2/.spreedx/spreedx/spreedx.py", line 53
except (ImportError, AssertionError, KeyError), msg:
^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

Hi Joerg Schaible,

please check it with Python 2.

Yes, it works if the system uses Python 2 (for me 2.7.10) as default interpreter. However, the README.txt of SpreedX simply claims

python >= 2.6

as system requirement.
